Feeding Trial Information:

84 cross-bred steers were used in a comparative slaughter trial
The steers were randomly assigned to 12 pens.
Three corn processing treatments were compared:
- Dry rolled corn
- Corn treated with a non-yucca grain conditioner and water
- Corn treated with SarTemp^® and water
Steers were implanted with Synovex S^®
The protein supplement contained Rumensin^® and Tylan^®

Grain Conditioning:

Non-yucca based grain conditioner was metered onto the grain at 5 fluid ounces per ton
SarTemp^® was metered onto the grain at the rate of 5 fluid ounces per ton of grain

Summary
SarTemp^® Improved feed efficiency by 9% over dry rolled corn and 0.7% over a non-yucca based grain conditioner.

SarTemp^®Improved the average daily gain and feed intake over both dry rolled corn and a non-yucca based grain conditioner.
